About this event
Clark Room - 2nd Floor. Maine residents who have not yet received their $300 Maine Affordability Payment may still be eligible—but some residents need to file a 2025 Maine Income Tax Return by October 15 to receive it. The Maine Legislature approved payments of $300 for eligible individuals and $600 for eligible married couples filing jointly. Residents must file a 2025 Maine Income Tax Return to qualify, even if their income is normally low enough that they are not required to file taxes. Trained volunteers from the Tax-Aide free tax preparation program will offer free assistance at three area locations: Income must be less than $50,000 for single filers, $75,000 for heads of household, or $100,000 for married couples filing jointly. Those who filed a 2025 Maine Income Tax Return, including claiming the Sales Tax Credit, or the Property Tax/Renter Credit, and have not received your check yet, contact Maine Revenue Service directly by phone 207-624-9924, or online https://www.maine.gov/revenue/affordability. Residents whose mailing address has changed should also contact Maine Revenue Services.
