Deyo A grand overview of the history of theater, beginning with Homer and Aeschylus, touching on the birth of tragedy, discussing world theater and how it emerged in various cultures, talking about Shakespeare and major playwrights of the last centuries and today. L.B. Deyo is Artistic Director of The Zahir Productions. Two Short Zahir Plays “When Beggars Die”, by L.B. Deyo A concerned physician. A prophetic First Lady. And an obsessively determined President of the United States. Three great personalities locked in a mortal struggle. Who will win the space race? Starring L.B. Deyo, Shannon McCormick, and Laura D’Eramo. “God of Sun and Light” by Brian Wittenbrook A couple of guys meet their god, Apollo, and he is very nice and terrifying. “God of Sun and Light” is read by Stephen Flynn, Danu Mara, Hank Schwemmer, and Brian Wittenbrook. The Zahir creates original theater, film, and storytelling projects that bring people together for meaningful conversation. At a time defined by noise, loneliness, and misinformation, our work invites audiences to pause, reflect, and speak with one another.
