Join us for the free Opening Reception on September 17th at 6pm at Museo. We will unveil this fascinating exhibition with live music, drinks, and light appetizers. See you there! About the exhibition: Karla de Lara: Identidad, memoria y palabra (Identity, memory and word) weaves past and present to explore identity, memory, and the spaces we inhabit. Through two decades of prints, notebooks, texts, letters, sculptures, paintings, and childhood-inspired objects, it reflects on personal and collective histories, inviting viewers to find parallels with her own. About Karla de Lara Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Karla de Lara is an internationally recognized painter, sculptor, muralist and poet whose work has been exhibited in nearly 40 countries. She is at the forefront of the Hyperrealist Pop Art movement and creator of the patented de Lara Technique. A few of her artistic accomplishments include First Prize at the Nations of Venice (2018) and the creation of one of Latin America’s largest murals at Expo Guadalajara (2017).
