FREE Friday Night Contra NCD Anniversary Dance

Contra dance is a social dance – You’ll see a lot of smiling faces as you dance up and down the lines with multiple dance “partners” and “neighbors." You do not have to bring a partner. Greer Hanan of Louisville, KY will call the dances. She’ll teach the dance moves and walk you through each part before the music begins. She will also calls the dance figures during the music to help you remember what to do. This Friday night dance will feature the incredible sounds (LIVE music!!) of Alex Wilder & Friends. Come listen!! THIS DANCE WILL BE FREE TO ATTEND IN CELEBRATION OF 50+ YEARS OF NASHVILLE COUNTRY DANCERS. Donations to NCD will be accepted. Contra dance originated in New England, with roots in French, Scottish, and English traditional dances. You can find lively dance communities all over the world and - especially - right here in Nashville, TN. Intro dance lesson is at 7:30pm. Dance runs from 8-10:30pm. Invite your friends and family!!
