About this event
Montvale - Library Activity Room, Montvale Public Library. In the summer of 1873, the body of an “unknown woman” was recovered from the Hudson River along the Palisades. Her identification by her fiancé a few days later would lead to a fascinating story, culminating in lurid press reports and accusations of murder. Public historian Eric Nelsen shares some of the insights he has uncovered since he came upon this “Jersey Horror” twenty years ago. This program will take place in the Library Activity Room.
