Forest Bathing Mini-Retreat

(for adults) As the Thanksgiving holiday comes to a close, take a little time for yourself to slow down, reconnect with nature, and reflect on the things you are grateful for. Forest Bathing, also known as Nature and Forest Therapy, is a slow, meditative walk in nature that encourages us to engage our senses and experience the natural world around us. Rather than focusing on where we’re going, we take time to be present, quiet our minds, and appreciate the sights, sounds, and simple beauty of nature. Enjoy this spiritually and emotionally enriching experience on the beautiful grounds of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Guided by Rich Collins, this peaceful afternoon will offer an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, find a moment of calm, and explore the many ways nature can inspire a sense of gratitude and well-being. A few tips from Rich to make your walk more comfortable: The walk will last for about 2.5 hours. We will be moving slowly and using our senses to connect with nature so this will not be an athletic walk. Please dress in layers so you can be comfortable with temperature changes. If you wish, you can bring sunscreen, bug spray, and/or water. Rich will provide small mats to use when sitting.
