About this event
Have you ever imagined creating art using a fish? Discover Gyotaku, a traditional Japanese art form of creating fish prints using ink or paint! Originally, Gyotaku was used by Japanese fishermen to record the size and appearance of their catches. Over time, it evolved into a unique form of art. In this hands-on workshop, you'll use realistic fish replicas to create your own one-of-a-kind fish prints while learning about Japanese culture! Join Kana Sahashi, UNCW Japan Outreach Initiative Coordinator, for a fun and creative experience. No experience is needed. Fun for all ages! Registration is required.
