About this event

The Mobile Museum of Tolerance (MMOT) will offer an open-house experience featuring “What We Carry Forward: An Exploration of Art” from 5 to 7:30 pm at the South end of the road closure. The gallery-style exhibition, featuring works from two different artists, examines art as an expression of resilience and a powerful means of preserving the memories, traditions, and cultures of communities that have endured atrocities for future generations, connecting past, present, and future into one. The MMOT, an innovative educational initiative of the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, is a classroom on wheels offering interactive, facilitator-led workshops designed to combat hate and promote greater understanding. Through the lessons of history, the MMOT helps foster dialogue, understanding and tolerance. An accompanying art activity outside the MMOT will offer attendees another way to engage with the exhibit’s themes.
