If you grew up in Kentucky or anywhere across the middle of the southeastern U.S., you may remember warm summer nights spent watching, catching, and releasing fireflies. Their flickering lights drifting just above the ground have a way of feeling almost magical. June is peak performance season for many species, and Bernheim offers protected habitat where you can witness this annual light show up close.
