Fire in the Hem: A Six-Week Belly Dance Skirt Technique Series

Join us for a special six-week journey (March 7 through April 11, every Saturday at 6:30) into the expressive world of skirt dance. This series blends folkloric flair, powerful technique, and storytelling through movement. Dancers will learn how to shape, sweep, lift, and bloom their skirts to create bold lines, dramatic accents, and dynamic textures. Each week builds new skills—from foundational handling to traveling steps, spins, and emotional expression—culminating in a short, showcase-ready combination. Participants will need a full, flowy skirt (3–4 yards minimum; circle skirt or folkloric skirt styles preferred). No prior skirt experience required—just a love of movement and a willingness to play. All levels welcome. Price – $95 for 6 classes.
