FIRE Friends Monday Dinner Picnic

This is a social picnic hangout for people in the FIRE community (Financial Independence Retire Early). And for people who are interested in learning more about it! We’ll hang out in this neighborhood park and build friendships around our shared interests of seeking financial freedom and living our best lives. **Bring (if you want):** * your own picnic dinner; * something to sit on (picnic blanket, towel or camp chairs); * water shoes if you want to cool off in the rocky shallow stream; * kids and dogs; and * any outdoor games you like (I’ll bring cornhole). **Where:** *Ignore the Google Maps directions for the park* and instead aim for the corner of SE Sherrett St and SE 21st Ave. There’s plenty of free street parking. It’s a small park. We will be either near the play structure, in the grassy area further along 21st Ave, or across the footbridge next to the stream. After I arrive, I’ll post a message updating which one it is in the event discussion on Meetup. But look around for the colorful picnic blanket shown in the event thumbnail photo. The onsite restroom is currently closed for renovation.
