Finding Matt Damon | Black Scranton Project Cultural Center in Scranton Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 3 PM Finding Matt Damon takes place at the Black Scranton Project Cultural Center in Scranton, PA, on Saturday, October 10, at 3 PM as part of the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival. This original screenplay by Duane Granston follows Sean, an insecure software genius who tells aspiring screenwriter Jasmine that he knows movie star Matt Damon. The romantic comedy follows Sean’s increasingly complicated attempts to turn his lie into reality. When his charade eventually falls apart, Sean must choose authenticity over image and find his true voice. Presented in part by the Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Wilkes University, the event features a staged reading of a portion of the screenplay. The reading runs approximately 60 minutes, followed by a brief talkback. Tickets are $15. Finding Matt Damon brings a witty story about romance, identity and authenticity to the Scranton Fringe Festival in Scranton.
