This special America 250th Anniversary screening of Westermann: Memorial to the Idea of Man If He Was an Idea is presented in collaboration with the National Veterans Art Museum (NVAM). The documentary explores the life and work of American artist H.C. Westermann, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, known for his imaginative sculptures and meticulous craftsmanship. Through interviews, archival footage, and insights from fellow artists, the documentary offers a vivid portrait of his creative process and enduring influence. Attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for Westermann’s humor, precision, and lasting impact on 20th‑century art.
