With a strong focus on composition, drawing, shapes, value, edges, and color mixing. Each student will be taught the necessary techniques to complete a painting from start to finish. Working from direct observation, students will use a limited palette as they continue to develop their painting skills. Students will learn how to set up an organized palette and work from dark to light to achieve harmonious color. Gaining the control of this palette will give student the opportunity to paint any desired subject. Brief lectures, handouts, and demonstrations will be given each class.
