Festival in the Mountains

On Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8, Save Our Mountains Foundation (SOMF) will be hosting our second annual Festival in the Mountains at North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC). Kicking off the event on Friday is Pat McMahon, the beloved entertainer and Arizona icon best known for the The Wallace and Ladmo Show. Throughout the weekend enjoy live music from local favorites, guided hikes, geology and silversmithing demonstrations, and many kids' activities. Join in the fun and enter your dog in our Dog Costume Contest. Start your holiday shopping at our Market in the Mountains, featuring 30+ artists. There will be a silent auction with fun baskets and valuable items up for bid along with drawings including a Dierks Bentley autographed guitar. Food and drinks will be available as well. This is a community event and fundraiser for the SOMF whose mission is to acquire and preserve land to assist in the expansion of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. SOMF supports the Mountains Preserve with education, conservation, and research and maintains operations at the NMVC in collaboration with the City of Phoenix.
