Female Firefighter Camp

Welcome to the First Women’s Firefighter Weekend! Starting in the evening of Friday, April 17th until early afternoon of Sunday, April 19th. Learn all about being a firefighter from the WILD Institute’s experienced trainers. This weekend is designed specifically to address the unique challenges and skills of female firefighters, featuring hands-on experience and specialized trainings. They aim to empower women by tailoring trainings to their needs. Open to new and experienced firefighters – or those who want a special and unique challenge! Gain new tips and tricks to improve your performance. Trainings will include forcible entry, hose handling, person drags, and throwing ladders. Learn to use your strengths and work smarter and more effectively. It is open to all individuals over the age of 18 with a willingness to learn and passion to serve as a firefighter. Those who may be contemplating such a “crazy hobby” are welcom! You do not have to be with a department in order to come out and train with the WILD Institute. $100 ticket covers food and lodging for the weekend. Lodging will be in bunkhouse style quarters with other camp attendees.
