TW Meeting Room, Twin Hickory Area Library. Dracula (1931, NR, 104 min.) The 1931 Spanish-language Drácula, produced by Universal Pictures, was filmed at night on the same sets as the famous Bela Lugosi version, utilizing a different cast and crew to shoot scenes after-hours. Starring Carlos Villarías, this version is roughly 30 minutes longer, featuring more complex camera work and a more intense, explicit tone. Dracula (1931, NR, 75 min.) Two bites for the price of one! Although there have been numerous screen versions of Bram Stoker's classic tale, none is more enduring than this 1931 original with Bela Lugosi.
