About this event
Overview This STEAM Family Sculpture Workshop is a hands-on, family-friendly program that connects core curriculum concepts for 3rd through 7th grade with creative three-dimensional artmaking. Led by two local educators, Lindsey Norris and Rebecca Lee, this workshop invites participants to explore engineering principles such as balance, stability, and structural design by designing and building animals with cardboard. What is STEAM? STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. This program is free to all and advance registration is required. For more information, please email Emily Thomas at ethomas@mmfa.org.
