About this event

Join us for a day of stories and crafts with special guest storyteller Wunneanatsu Lamb-Cason! In her debut picture book, Grandmother Moon, she celebrates the relationship between a grandmother and grandchild, weaving Indigenous teachings into a modern setting. The program will include live readings from Grandmother Moon and an exploration of traditional stories referenced in the book, offering visitors of all ages the chance to reflect on the power of intergenerational storytelling. Families will then complete related crafts and activities that further explore the significance of the moon and storytelling. Books will be available for purchase and can be signed by Wunneanatsu. This program is FREE and great for children of all ages. No pre-registration required. For information on how to request specific accommodations, please visit our Accessibility at the Museum page. Questions? Contact Katerina Tamburrino, Family Programs Manager & Accessibility Coordinator, at ktamburrino@connecticutmuseum.org or 860-236-5621 x222. Free First Weekends are sponsored by Beacon Bank.
