Family Boogie!

FAMILY BOOGIE! THURSDAYS | NOVEMBER 5TH-MARCH 4TH | 5:00-5:45 PM Monthly stand alone workshop. Pre-register or drop in. Ages 0-105, all abilities welcome, no experience necessary — just come have fun! COST: $10 Suggested Donation AGES: 0-105 DATES: 11/5, 12/3, 1/7, 2/4, 3/4 Family Boogie classes are designed for toddlers through preschool age kids to joyfully dance alongside their grown ups! New babies up to elementary age kiddos are also encouraged to join the fun. In fact, kids (and their grown ups) of any age who want to be silly, playful, and creative should totally join this class! So grab your grandparents, moms, dads, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends & neighbors to all boogie together! These classes are inclusive and intergenerational, just like our non-profit dance company - Open Arms Dance Project. In everything we do, our mission is to create greater joy and compassion with dance that opens hearts, minds, and arms. PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN: A fun game that explores the dance space and often animal movements too A circle or square dance BrainDance through rhymes and interactive adult/child movement Locomotion around the dance space like a train, car, or bus Free playing with musical instruments to explore rhythm An obstacle course with plenty of crawling, slithering, jumping, spinning, and galloping about! REQUIRED MATERIALS: Clothes that are comfy to move around in and slither on the floor. Bare feet (socks can be too slick). Water bottle (but snacks or drinks stay in the MOVE lobby).
