Fall Birding Walks for Adults Explore the world of birds in the beautiful gardens of Van Vleck. Each class will focus on a specific topic to help us learn more about these amazing creatures. Bring your binoculars (or borrow a pair from Van Vleck) and join us for some birding fun. Instructor: Naturalist Jenny Aley, Van Vleck Education Volunteer. Open to adults. Space is limited – register early. September – November classes: Free Dates/Times/Topics: October 10th (Sat) – 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM – World Migratory Bird Day – Learn about migration and look for birds who are just passing through the Gardens of Van Vleck. November 19th (Thur) (TBD) – 4:00-5:00 PM – Sunset Nature Walk– Join us for an early evening walk in search of birds and other wildlife as the day comes to a close. December 9th (Wed) (TBD) – 10:00-11:00 AM – Morning Tea with the Birds – Sharpen your identification skills and watch the birds come to us, while peacefully sitting on the patio outside the Education Center. Create a simple bird ornament and hot tea will be served! December Class: $5 per person Registration required – no drop-ins for this class. Photo: Nick Fewings
