About this event
What questions should research ask, and whom should it serve? The Ethelyn R. Strong School of Social Work invites you to explore these questions with us at the inaugural Fall 2026 Doctoral Research Speaker Series, sponsored by our PhD Program. The series is designed primarily for our doctoral students in the School of Social Work, helping them understand how research is conceived, conducted, and translated into practice and policy, while cultivating the habits of scholarly dialogue and intellectual engagement that sustain a research career. That said, the conversation is open to everyone: students, faculty, staff, and members of the greater community are warmly invited. The series will continue each semester, and we are pleased to begin with our own faculty in the School of Social Work. All sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. ET on Microsoft Teams. Attendance is free, and registration is required.
