About this event
Events Room. Dramatic decorated letters have been part of manuscripts and books for centuries. Calligraphers create ornate letters all the time in their artworks. Let’s learn about these decorated versal letters and then step by step, we will make our very own Fairy TAIL letter! They make wonderful gifts! No drawing or calligraphy experience is necessary—letters and critters will be traced. We will be learning several colored pencil techniques and using professional quality, pigment intense colored pencils. Calligrapher Debby Reelitz will guide us through this no-stress, fun, colorful program. ABOUT DEBBY Calligrapher Debby Reelitz is grateful for the tech that allows for instant communication. However, computer fonts and tech makes letters boring and we forget how lively and expressive and creative hand-drawn words and letters can be. Debby loves to share with others how to bring the alphabet to life. For more about her 25 year career in calligraphy visit her website at: https://letteringdesign.com
