Restrooms are located up the escalator from our meeting place outside the library entrance (2nd floor of the 10 Lafayette building) or across the street at the Center For Fiction by - first floor cafe. Also inside Whole Foods toward the lower level / rear seating area where the small food and coffee options are located. The annual free Jazz Festival in Fort Greene Park is scheduled from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. https://www.fortgreeneparkjazzfestival.com/ **Schedule:** 2:00pm - 3:15pm: First Part of the Walking Tour 3:15 - 4:00pm: Break to enjoy the music (restrooms available). 4:00pm - 5:45pm: Second part of the walking tour 5:45pm - 7:00pm: (Optional) We'll arrive back at the park where you can choose to enjoy the rest of the jazz festival. Directions will be provided to reach public transportation. **Tour Description:** The Fort Greene and Clinton Hill neighborhoods feature some of New York's most beautiful and historic residential streets - filled with architectural treasures includes lovely townhouses, magnificent churches, mansions, along with the Pratt Institute and campus. We'll trace the history of the area from when it was farmland back in the 1600's to modern area when it became a popular place for jazz musicians, other people in the creative arts and African-American middle class families.
