About the author: Vera West fell into a torrid love affair with creative writing in college and since then has written many novels and poetry collections examining the nature of love, redemption, cultural identity, social issues and the afterlife. Pizza Guise is West’s second novel in verse and is a modern reimagining of her favorite Jane Austen novel Pride and Prejudice. A native of Michigan, she resides in the Midwest with her family, rescue dogs and a cup of lukewarm tea she forgot she made.
