Explore Capoeira Vida

Discover the rich legacy of African-Brazilian Capoeira Angola through an interactive experience of movement, music, and culture. Participants will learn basic movements, rhythms, songs, and instruments, and take part in a collaborative roda (Capoeira circle). This all-ages program builds confidence, creativity, and connection while introducing Capoeira’s roots in resilience, community, and cultural expression. Presented by Capoeira Vida, funded by the City of Tacoma/Tacoma Creates, and hosted by Tacoma Public Library.
