Mothers of the Riot Grrrl movement, Bikini Kill burst onto the PNW alt scene in 1991, at the same time as bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Known for high energy, in your face performances, the band became an integral part of DC’s 90’s punk scene often working with members of Fugazi.
