Let's celebrate America's 250th birthday together with Delaware's biggest Independence Day bash! The City of Wilmington is throwing a massive, free celebration at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, and we have the perfect plan to enjoy it as a group. Come out for a full day of incredible live music, food trucks, community vibes, and a spectacular fireworks finale synchronized to a live orchestra. Whether you are new to the area or a long-time local, this is the perfect way to spend the holiday with great company. 3:30 PM โ Meetup: We will gather near the park entrance to find a good location on the lawn. Bring your low-profile lawn chairs or blankets! 4:00 PM โ 9:15 PM โ Music & Food: Explore the food vendors and enjoy performances across three stages. The music lineup features Kristen & The Noise, the Clifford Brown Festival Orchestra, Lower Case Blues, and DJ Mega Skills. 9:30 PM โ The Grand Finale: A massive fireworks display over the Christina River, synchronized to a live performance by the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. Free parking is available all day at designated Riverfront lots, including Delaware Technical Community College, Chase Fieldhouse, and Downtown Visions. Arrive early! Traffic will get heavy, and road closures around Martin Luther King Blvd begin at 4:00 PM, with full bridge closures at 8:30 PM. What to Bring / Park Rules: Bring: Blankets, lawn chairs (legs must be under 9 inches), sunscreen, and cash/card for food vendors. Do NOT Bring: Large backpacks, bags, weapons, or outside alcohol (bags will be screened at the gate for safety). How to find us: I will post our exact location on the lawn in the comment section of this Meetup as soon as I arrive. Can't wait to celebrate the 250th with everyone! ๐บ๐ธ๐
