About this event
Who says embroidery is just for fabric? Come explore a fun twist on hand stitching as you turn a simple wooden shape into a beautiful embroidered keychain! In this guided workshop, you’ll use colorful embroidery floss to stitch your pattern through pre-cut holes in the wood. Choose your favorite colors, enjoy a little relaxed stitching, then secure the back and attach the keychain hardware. Take home a handmade accessory to brighten your keys or give as a thoughtful gift! Ticket price includes the instruction, tools, and materials to make your own embroidered wooden keychain. No experience necessary. Join us at Tucson Creative Reuse, a wonderful new creative reuse shop in the heart of Tucson's historic Fourth Avenue district. Fourth Avenue has always been a place where artists, makers, musicians, and creative spirits come together, and this feels like the perfect place to gather with fellow crafters. Misa, owner of Tucson Creative Reuse, is passionate about building Tucson's creative community, and we're excited to help introduce more makers to this fantastic new local resource. Parking: There are lots of metered spaces along Fourth Avenue, plus nearby city garages and surface lots if the street spots are full. However, street parking is metered ($1.50/hour), so please come prepared to pay for parking.
