Join us online to explore Peter Singer's famous essay, Famine, Affluence, and Morality. What does global poverty demand of us? What, if anything, do the affluent owe to the poor? Does it matter if we're separated by thousands of miles and/or geopolitical borders? You can find the reading here, and when you register, you'll receive an email with the link to join the discussion. Elevated Thoughts Philosophy Group is a partnership with the Philosophy Outreach Program of Colorado (POPCO) at CU Boulder. Each month, we'll read a relatively short philosophical text and then meet online on the fourth Thursday to discuss it. We'll post each month's reading on the group site ahead of the session, and we encourage participants to attend even if they haven't finished the reading. Philosophy Ph.D. candidate Kyle York and other CU Boulder philosophy graduate students facilitate discussions. We hope you'll join us!
