El barón del terror: Presented by Trash-Mex

Trash-Mex is closing our their series of four classic Mexican horror films with one of the wildest films ever made: Chano Urueta’s El barón del terror (1962), aka The Brainiac! In 1661, the Inquisition sentences Baron d’Estera (Abel Salazar) to be burned at the stake for his sorcery. Three hundred years later, the Baron returns to Mexico City on a comet, to exact a peculiar form of vengeance upon the descendants of his tormentors… by sucking out their brains! Starring Abel Salazar as the resurrected aristocrat with a taste for gray matter, El barón del terror is a deliriously demented slice of Mexican horror, serving up grotesque creature effects and one of the wildest monster designs in the genre. Come for the cursed Baron, stay for the brain buffet!
