A COMEDIAN, A WILDLIFE BIOLOGIST, AND SOME STRONG OPINIONS Eeland Stribling is a nationally touring comedian, former wildlife biologist, and environmental educator whose stand-up can take you from politics to penguins before you have time to wonder how you got there. Recently selected for Kevin Hart’s Funny AF on Netflix, Eeland was also the winner of the 2025 Don’t Tell Comedy competition and a 2023 and 2024 New Faces winner at Comedy Works. His comedy mixes a silly, sometimes grumpy demeanor with sharp observations and plenty of sarcasm. He has even been called the “Black Steve Irwin” - which makes a lot more sense once you know how much of his life has revolved around both comedy and wildlife. FROM NETFLIX TO THE GREAT OUTDOORS Eeland was chosen to share his story on an episode of Roots of Comedy on PBS with Jesus Trejo, and his work goes beyond the stand-up stage. He has also written and acted in award-winning short films. Then there’s Comedians on the Fly, the series where Eeland combines two of his favorite things: comedy and fly-fishing. He takes fellow comedians out on the water to swap stories, get tangled up, and maybe even catch a fish. It is the kind of project that makes perfect sense for a comedian who spent part of his career teaching people about wildlife before making people laugh for a living.
