Community Event Room B. This 60‑minute interactive session introduces students to the power of mimicry as a learning tool in creative writing. Through guided analysis and playful imitation of selected authors’ techniques, students explore how style, voice, and character are constructed on the page. Bio: Amanda Field holds an MFA in Creative Writing and serves as a full‑time professor of Integrated Reading and Writing/English at Collin College’s Wylie Campus. She is dedicated to the teaching of writing and continues to pursue her own creative work with professional commitment. CollinWrites is a celebration of creative writing hosted by the Frisco Campus Writing Center and Library. This dynamic series invites writers of all levels to come together for hands-on workshops and fun activities designed to spark creativity.
