The forest will be alive with warblers and other songbirds at this time. We will meet at the Circle K Gas Station on Highway 17N in McClellanville to caravan to Pitch Landing. Plan on 3+ hours with meeting and drive times. This is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Parking down there can be limited, and trailer spots are at a premium, so let's coordinate with each other to carpool. This is one of the most beautiful and unique spots to paddle in the Lowcountry. We will go from Pitch Landing out towards the South Santee and back for this 2+-hour trip. This is a shady creek so we will enjoy the shade on a summer's day.
