Polar Planet's 2026 trash blitz and community cleanup Call to Action: On Earth Day 2026, April 22, 2026, during the afternoon, on a weekday, for those needing a weekend warrior respite, or an excuse to take leave from work to enjoy the new spring weather. Please join at anytime during 4 hour event on a Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm! Join Polar Planet for a hands-on trash blitz and community cleanup focused the confluence of Weir Gulch and the South Platter River. We stage ground zero at the confluence of the creek and the river. We will be collecting trash, reducing waste, and utilizing trash pickers, buckets and bags to dispose into dumpsters to support urban wildlife conservation and our health. We will also have plenty of waders to do the shorelines. This event is perfect for anyone looking to make a positive impact on the local environment and contribute to improving the ambiance of Sun Valley.
