EARLY BIRD PADDLE @ Reeds Lake A morning on the water with birds, kayaks, and community! Start your Saturday with fresh air and bird songs! Join ODC Network, Cultivate the Community, and OutDoor Afro for an adventure morning at Reeds Lake. Whether you’re a seasoned birder, a first-time paddler, or just want to be outside – there’s a spot for you. Enjoy a relaxing paddle on one of East Grand Rapids’ most beautiful lakes Birdwatching-by-Kayak (Guided) – Combine both! Paddle with a naturalist guide to see birds from the water. No experience needed. All skill levels welcome. EVENT DETAILS: Where: Reeds Lake – 750 Lakeside Drive, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506 (Meet at the waterfront / John Collins Park area) When: Saturday, September 12, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Cost: $15 per person Ages: 14+ (under 18 with an adult) What to Bring: Water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat. Binoculars if you have them – a few loaners will be available. Dress for the weather. Kayaks and life jackets provided. Space may be limited for kayak option – arrive early.
