Dublin Carnegie Events Step into the elegant ambiance of the Dublin Carnegie, where history meets generosity. 2026 Dublin’s Top 10 for the 250th with Scott Thompson Thursday, September 17th at 5:30 PM Tickets: $15 at the door For this Dublin History Series program at the Dublin Carnegie, Scott Thompson will present “Dublin’s Top 10 for the 250th,” highlighting influential individuals who have shaped Dublin’s history across the centuries as part of the nation’s America 250 commemoration. Scott Thompson, Dublin’s unofficial local historian and dedicated keeper of our community’s past, has been named a May 2026 Georgia Magazine Hometown Hero for his work preserving local history and sharing Dublin’s story. This is an official Georgia US250 event! The Prehistoric Inhabitants of Southeast Georgia – From Ice Age to Spanish Contact with Joseph Sumner Thursday, October 15th at 5:30 PM Tickets: $15 at the door Travel back thousands of years to explore the earliest inhabitants of Southeast Georgia. This fascinating presentation traces the region’s history from Ice Age hunters to the rise of the Mississippian culture, concluding with the arrival ofSpanish conquistador Hernando de Soto and the dramatic changes that followed. Join Dianne Mathis to discover the fascinating story behind these beautiful plates and the Georgia history they preserve.
