Drinks, sunset watching & a supermoon beach walk.

This will be a special night out if weather permits! Join us for sunset watching and beach walk not only at full moon, but even better at "Cold Moon" Supermoon, the last of three supermoons in 2026. The "Cold Moon" is also sometimes referred as "Long Night Moon" or "Oak Moon". It reflects the arrival of winter and long nights associated with the season. Let's meet at Anna Maria's City Pier shortly before 5:00 PM and walk over to Sandbar for drinks and sunset watching. The sun will set at 5:42 PM. The supermoon will rise shortly thereafter. It should provide sufficient light to hit the beach for a wonderful full moon walk via Bean Point back to the City Pier. To fully embrace the moon’s beauty, it should be a slow walk, no rush please! Total length of the walk will be less than 3 miles. We will start walking about 10 minutes after (!!) sunset. At that time we will likely experience king tide, means the water level will be higher than normal making it necessary to walk on the soft sand beach (a bit more strenuous than walking right next to the ocean). You might want to walk barefoot to enjoy the sand. Pack flip flops or shoes for the last section past the former Rod and Reel Pier back to the parking lot. Please expect rush hour traffic on the way to the beach and allow plenty of time. Maybe you even want to enjoy Anna Maria before we meet at the City Pier?
