Through guided exercises and personalized instruction, students will build confidence while developing essential drawing techniques, including observation, proportion, composition, value, and line quality. Working from a variety of subjects—including still lifes, landscapes, self-portraits, and live models—you’ll learn to move beyond drawing what you think you see and begin drawing what is actually in front of you. This shift from symbolic thinking to perceptual seeing is the foundation of accurate, expressive, and confident drawing.
