About this event
Community Room. There are some musicians who earn the label “a player's player.” These individuals possess a quality and integrity that peers look up to, not for mere bursts of blazing notes or chops, but for the perfection of their performances and the joy they bring. Such a musician is West Coast-based jazz journeyman guitarist Doug MacDonald. He continues to tour and perform around 300 performances a year across the country, from Hawaii to New York City. He has performed in Spain, Finland, Estonia, and England and in venues including Cezanne (Houston), The Jazz Showcase (Chicago), and Carnegie Hall (New York City). MacDonald’s Palm Springs Quintet brings together some of the finest jazz musicians in the valley. Join them in the Community Room for an unforgettable evening of live music.
