About this event

Free admission. No registration required. Join us for an evening of short films by Nông Nhật Quang, an emerging voice in Vietnamese queer cinema. The program of five documentary shorts traces Quang’s evolution as a filmmaker, from his early personal films about growing up queer in Vietnam to his more recent social documentary advocating marriage equality, and a preview of his upcoming experimental work on the struggle of Hanoi’s queer nightlife against the city’s urban planning. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their impressions with the director himself. Please join us on Wednesday, September 23rd for a screening of Nông Nhật Quang’s debut documentary feature, Baby Jackfruit Baby Guava. Sponsored by Whitney and Humanities Center and Film and Media Studies
