About this event

Arapahoe Libraries will host a four-part Documentary and Dialogue series in 2026. These documentary film screenings and facilitated conversations aim to allow guests an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences and learn from the experiences of others. Each conversation is guided by an expert facilitator who will invite us to reflect on the film and dig deeply into the material. The series is designed to spark connection and promote listening and understanding. Join us for part four of the series where we will view College Behind Bars, the inspiring, emotional, deeply human story of men and women struggling to earn college degrees while in prison for serious crimes. Over four years of study, they become scholars, shatter stereotypes, reckon with their pasts and prepare to reenter society. A groundbreaking exploration of incarceration, injustice, race in America and the transformative power of education, from Ken Burns and PBS. Following the documentary, our facilitator will guide a reflective conversation with the audience on the topic. Light snacks will be provided. DISCOVER MORE Join us November 12 for a Featured Artist Reception with Unchained Voices, a Colorado nonprofit amplifying the artwork and stories of people who are incarcerated.
