DMV Area Write for Rights 2026

Get your write on! Hi everyone, it’s that time of year again! We in the DMV Area Amnesty International USA local groups (Arlington, Capitol Hill, Northwest and Potomac), have highlighted 10 cases in countries that include Mali, El Salvador, Pakistan, Tunisia, Hong Kong/China, Tanzania, Russia, and Egypt, across a multitude of issues such as immigration, freedom of speech, and housing rights. We will be in the MLK Library writing letters on behalf of individuals who are at risk for advocating for human rights. Here is the Amnesty USA Write for Rights website with more information: Write for Rights - Amnesty International. There will be limited bottles of water, but largely it will be BYOD with the covered drinks listed in the library's Code of Conduct: Code of Conduct | District of Columbia Public Library. Let's support our local library and get your read on as well as your write on! I hope to see you all there.
