Diwali Concert with Arjun Verma

Community Hall. Celebrate the Festival of Lights with an evening of mesmerizing music featuring the acclaimed Indian-American sitarist and composer, Arjun Verma. In honor of Diwali, the Cupertino Library will host this special live performance on November 6 at 7:00 PM in Community Hall. Hailed by the New York Times as a “fine sitarist,” Arjun Verma blends meticulous traditional training under legendary maestros like Ali Akbar Khan with a fresh, modern relevance. Audiences will experience the rich heritage of North Indian classical music through traditional melodies (raagas) that capture both profound, majestic depths and exhilarating rhythms. Whether you are a lifelong lover of classical ragas or discovering the sitar for the first time, this performance offers a beautiful, reflective space to gather and honor the spirit of Diwali through the power of sound. This program is generously sponsored by the Cupertino Library Foundation. For accessibility accommodations (ex.
