Discovery Day: Playtime Time Warp

Travel back in time with us for a special Discovery Day deep dive into the toys, games, and tools kids loved before tablets and touchscreens. Families are invited to visit our “Time Warp Station” in the Party Room from 10 a.m. to noon for a hands-on exploration of how kids learned and played in the past. From flipping through encyclopedias to trying out classic games and discovering how technology has changed over time, kids will have the chance to experience the fun that entertained generations before them. Drop in (10 a.m. to noon) to: Explore encyclopedias and discover how families found answers before the internet Check out a technology timeline showing how play and learning tools have evolved Play games and try activities from decades past Join us for a playful mix of nostalgia for grown-ups and new discoveries for kids! Activities are included with museum admission, making it a perfect opportunity for a no-school-day adventure at the museum.
