Dirty Flannel Shirt 90’s Rock & Country Dirty Flannel Shirt (DFS) started its life as a 90’s rock band but has grown to be a fun, entertaining party band that plays a wide array of genres. If it’s fun music, chances are Dirty Flannel Shirt plays it. The standard duo version of the band is Murray Williams and Benjamin Lowell. BJ started his music career in multiple signed bands during the late 90’s and early 2000’s. After moving to Arkansas, BJ and Murray began DFS. Many years and hundreds of shows later, Dirty Flannel Shirt has become a favorite in the NW Arkansas music scene. Dirty Flannel Shirt started in 2017 when Benjamin Lowell (Lotus Netti, Red Light Knights) and Murray Williams played a couple of pick up shows and immediately connected musically. “It was just easy” recalls Lowell. At the time, Williams was playing mostly with Lazy Daisy but was interested in starting another act with a different song list. Dirty Flannel Shirt is mainly a cover music act with a few originals thrown in here and there. They put on an entertaining show that can be adjusted to fit most audiences. Dirty Flannel Shirt comes in two sizes. Our standard setup is the duo of Murray and Benjamin. Even with just two players, the show has a full, entertaining sound. It’s a great show. But for larger stages, Dirty Flannel Shirt comes in Extra Large. DFSXL adds our friends John Mailer, Chris Tucker, Chris Bideler, Lincoln Keck and sometimes even the venerable Kevin Watkins on bass and drums. No matter the size of the stage or event, we have a Dirty Flannel Shirt that will fit.
