The Maine Library Advisory Council (MLAC) is pleased to launch Directors Discussion Series: Learning Together, Leading Together designed as a space for learning, conversation, and connection among Maine library directors. RE-Valuing the Youth Services Profession Join Becky Steenburg, Youth Services Librarian at Falmouth Memorial Library for a conversation about the current state of Youth Services in Maine libraries. She’ll explore trends and data related to the children, teens, and families we serve, examine the evolving role of Youth Services staff, and discuss ways to elevate and strengthen this essential work. This conversation is designed to empower library directors to better understand, support, and advocate for their Youth Services staff and the important role they play in the library and community.
