An ongoing class meeting every Monday evening from 7:30-9:00pm at 250 Grand Ave. #10, Oakland CA 94610. All are welcome. Aparokshanubhuti (Direct Experience of the Absolute) is a short text of 144 verses is attributed to Adi Shankara and is one of prakarana texts (workbooks). It covers the basic principles and practice of Advaita Vedanta, the non-dual Truth found in the Upanishads. It is an intermediate level text, although beginners are welcome. The class will include 20 minutes of meditation followed by lively discussion on the deeper import of the text verses. The class is given on a donation basis (Guru Dakshina).
