Dine & Discover: Harrison Mayes, A Legacy with Lindsey Gallaher, President of the Museum of Appalachia Wednesday, September 23 | 12:00–1:00 p.m. Knoxville Museum of Art | Free Join us for Dine & Discover: Harrison Mayes, A Legacy, a special lunchtime lecture exploring the life, work, and enduring legacy of No-Man’s-Land artist Harrison Mayes. Lindsey Gallaher, President of the Museum of Appalachia, will share insights into Mayes’ distinctive artistic practice and discuss how his work and legacy are being preserved for future generations. Discover more about this fascinating East Tennessee artist and his connection to the region as we take a closer look at his place within the story of Appalachian art. The lecture is free and open to the public. Guests are welcome to bring their own lunch, or contact Sean Burke, Education Program Coordinator, at sburke@knoxart.org to purchase a lunch in advance.
