About this event
Picture this: it’s October. The sun’s setting in the gardens behind the Ivy Bookshop. We’re talking about a new, heart-pumping psychological drama. Let’s make it happen. On October 9th, we’ll gather out in the gardens with author Diana Rojas, to discuss her new novel They Hold Grudges, a story of family, loyalty and the weight of suspicion. She’ll talk about these swirling forces of gossip and paranoia, truth and peace, in conversation with Abby Higgs– and all of us. RSVP here! Order THEY HOLD GRUDGES here! Diana Rojas is the author of Litany of Saints: A Triptych (Arte Público Press, 2024), the forthcoming novel, and the forthcoming children’s book, Clara’s Big Green Coat (Piñata Books, 2027). Her essays are featured in Grit & Gravity, The Washington Independent Review of Books, Barrelhouse, Latin@Lit, Anti-Heroin Chic, Latino News Network, and the WWPH anthology America’s Future, among others. A member of the Board of Directors of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation, she lives taxed and unrepresented in Washington, DC. ABBY HIGGS is a Baltimore-based writer, professor, and publicist. Their essays can be found in various print and online sources (where they also go by the name “Stone Cold Jane Austen”).
